Gala 20 - 8 Boroughmuir: Gala look to kick on after win
Gala’s win was the result of their high-tempo, high-energy game that was effective both in attack and defence, together with the accurate goal kicking of their outside centre Lee Millar, who finished with four from four.
In an opening period when mutual respect ruled the day, the teams were tied at 3-3 with a penalty apiece from Millar and Ally Warnock. Then, after an attacking run from Sean Law and tilt at the line by Gary Lowrie, tighthead prop Gary Lowrie crashed over for the opening try, converted from the touchline by Millar.

Hide AdGala opened the second half with a glorious passage of continuity rugby that ended with scrum-half George Graham finding space with a darting run before laying on a try for loosehead prop Luke Pettie, the Maroons’ lead further enhanced by another fine conversion from Millar.
Boroughmuir reacted positively and from a penalty to the corner, their heavy men drove the line-out for flanker Andrew Rose to claim the touchdown.
Warnock’s conversion attempt drifted wide but at the other end Millar was again on form with a penalty to seal the win for Gala.
