Fred's right on cue to rescue draw for Brazil

Substitute Fred struck in a last-minute equaliser to give holders Brazil a 2-2 draw with Paraguay before unfancied Venezuela upset Ecuador 1-0 to go top of Group B at the Copa America.

Midfielder Cesar Gonzalez scored the goal that stunned Ecuador and put Venezuela two points clear of Brazil and Paraguay with one match to go in their group. Jadson gave Brazil the lead six minutes before half-time, but goals from Roque Santa Cruz in the 56th minute and Nelson Haedo Valdez 12 minutes later put Paraguay on course for an upset, before Fred's late equaliser.
