Foreign: Inter Milan two points off top

Inter Milan closed the gap on Serie A leaders AC Milan to two points yesterday by beating Lecce 1-0 margin thanks to a Giampaolo Pazzini goal. Milan had lost 1-0 to Palermo on Saturday.

Udinese continued their push for a Champions League place with a 2-0 win over Catania, the goals coming from Gokhan Inler and Antonio Di Natale.

Roma suffered a blow to their fading top-four hopes with a 2-2 draw away to Fiorentina. They twice came from behind, with Francesco Totti scoring twice, after Adrian Mutu and Alessandro Gamberini had scored the home side's goals. Alessandro Del Piero struck the winner as Juventus beat Brescia 2-1.

In Spain, Jose Rondon scored twice to boost Malaga's bid for La Liga survival in a 2-0 home win over Espanyol yesterday. At the top, Barcelona remain five points clear of Real Madrid after both won on Saturday.

Bayer Leverkusen moved to within seven points of Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund with a 2-0 win over Schalke.
