'˜Worry about your own club', Joey Barton tells '˜obsessed' fans

The newest Ibrox arrival hit out at opposing supporters on social media over a stream of comments that have come his way following some controversial statements by the former England midfielder.
At the weekend, Barton said he was a superior player to Scott Brown, stating the Celtic captain was ‘not in his league’. He then followed that up on Monday by stating all the pressure would be on Celtic to win the title next season, pointing out that Brendan Rodgers had never won a trophy in his managerial career.

Hide AdYesterday he turned his attentions to the England national team side by questioning Roy Hodgson’s managerial abilities.
After being criticised by supporters for his comments, Barton decided to tweet out a message on his official Twitter account.
He wrote: “So many fans of other teams obsessed with me. Worry about your own players. I understand. And then don’t at the same time.”
Fans were quick to point out the irony of Barton telling others to concentrate on their own side with one supporter replying: “didn’t you start mouthing off about Scott Brown? ... Worry about your own team.”
