Women’s Euros: Germany undisputed queens of Europe
Goalkeeper, captain and double penalty hero Nadine Angerer lifted the women’s European Championships trophy as her team celebrate around her.
The side won the final 1-0 and with it a sixth consecutive title in a match against Norway. Anja Mittag scored for the Germans when she capped a fine passing move in the 49th minute, but the Norwegians must have known it was not their night after seeing two penalties saved and a goal ruled out for offside in Solna, Sweden.
