ROBERTO MARTINEZ is the clear favourite to replace Alex McLeish as Aston Villa manager, according to Ladbrokes.

After taking just 38 points in the same number of games this season, McLeish has waved goodbye to Villa Park and it’s Wigan’s Martinez who’s the 7/4 favourite to succeed him.

Then it’s 6/1 that Alan Curbishley returns to management, or 8/1 that Paul Lambert jumps ship from Norwich.

Chris Hughton is 16/1, ex-Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez 12/1 and Lee Clark 16/1.
