Hearts 4 - 0 Celtic; Sun 17 Dec

The unbeaten streak comes to a stop at 69 matches in startling fashion at Tynecastle. The hosts go at the favourites right from the off and are able to build up a 2-0 lead before half-time, thanks to goals from Harry Cochrane and Kyle Lafferty. Changes are made at the break but Celtic find themselves 3-0 down inside three minutes as David Milinkovic takes full advantage of a defensive calamity to score. The French-Serbian then doubles his tally with a late penalty.

Celtic 2 - 0 Partick Thistle; Wed 20 Dec

No hangover following the defeat at Tynecastle as the champions quickly return to winning ways with this routine victory over Thistle. Stuart Armstrong opened the scoring with a rifled shot into the far corner, before Kieran Tierney secured the win in the second half. The left-back advanced on the overlap and fired the ball into the roof of the net after being played in by Scott Sinclair.

Celtic 3 - 0 Aberdeen; Sat 23 Dec

Any talk of a title race was firmly extinguished with this triumph over second-place Aberdeen at Parkhead. The visitors performed admirably throughout most of the first-half but there was little chance of them fighting back to earn victory after Mikael Lustig opened the scoring five minutes from the break. Some dreadful errors among the Aberdeen rearguard then helped to present further goals for Jonny Hayes and Olivier Ntcham as Brendan Rodgers’ side ran out comfortable winners.

Dundee 0 - 2 Celtic; Tue 26 Dec

Live in front of the TV cameras on Boxing Day, Celtic once again flexed their muscles to record another comfortable win in the Ladbrokes Premiership. They wasted little time as well, as James Forrest opened the scoring in just the eighth minute. Leigh Griffiths then gave the visitors a commanding lead with his tenth of the season just before the break.

Celtic 0 - 0 Rangers; Sat 30 Dec

Not the one-sided hammering Celtic supporters were hoping to end 2017 on. After Rangers caused the hosts a couple of problems in the early stages, Brendan Rodgers’ men soon settled down and began to dominate. They should really have taken the lead before the break with James Forrest and Scott Sinclair each passing up excellent chances. After the half it was a completely different game, with the home side ultimately grateful to goalkeeper Craig Gordon for earning them a point.
