How to watch Edinburgh derby Premier Sports Cup semi-final

Hearts and Hibs clash at Hampden Park on Sunday in the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals.

While bragging rights are always at stake in an Edinburgh derby, the opportunity to return to the national stadium to contest the first silverware of the season against either Rangers or Aberdeen next month is the bigger prize on offer.

Hearts approach the semi-final in superior form having collected 12 more points than Hibs in the Scottish Premiership this season. The Jam Tarts sit third in the table while the men from Leith are only being kept off the bottom of the league by goal difference.

Hibs are still adjusting to life under new head coach Marink Reedijk, who replaced the sacked David Gray last month. The Dutchman started his tenure with three consecutive defeats before getting his first point in a 1-1 draw at Falkirk in midweek.

Hearts go into the match on the back of a 2-2 draw with Rangers at Tynecastle on Wednesday. They have played some entertaining, front-foot football under Wouter Vrancken but a few heavy defeats - 4-0 to Sturm Graz, 6-1 to Benfica and 7-1 to Celtic - show a vulnerable side in defence.

Hibs have never beaten Hearts at Hampden, losing on all four occasions, while Hearts also hold the upper hand in recent derbies, winning four of the last five.
