Uni’s show against Loons is a pleaser

Michael Renwick, head coach of East Seniors Central Taxis Premier Division side Heriot Watt University, watched his team lose 2-0 to SFL Second Division club Forfar Athletic in a pre-season friendly although he was pleased with his students’ performance.

“It was a very close game and the two goals Forfar scored were direct from a free-kick and a penalty late in the game,” said Renwick. “I was very pleased with where we are ”

The students held a strong Forfar team for more than 60 minutes before Gavin Swankie scored with an exquisite free-kick from 25 yards. The same player netted from the penalty spot in the closing stages.
