Elgin City 5, Alloa Athletic 0Graeme Beveridge headed Elgin into a 21st minute lead before Brian Cameron added a second. Stuart Leslie notched a double from the spot with Alloa’s Mark Docherty and Scott Bain sent off in the process and Beveridge completed the rout.

Montrose fought back from behind after Rory McAllister fired home a Barry Sellars cross to give the visitors a 12th-minute lead.

Terry Masson equalised before the interval and Martin Boyle completed the turnaround in the 66th minute.

Stranraer climbed to second despite being held to a dire 0-0 draw by Clyde.

Stephen McDonald had the visitors’ best chance but fired over, before the home side almost snatched a winner but Stuart McColm shot wide.

Berwick Rangers 0, Annan Athletic 1

Annan soared to a five-point lead at the summit after a 1-0 win at Berwick.

Both sides hit the woodwork in an exciting opening period but it was Scott Gibson’s 71st-minute volley which proved to be the winner.
