Ally McCoist has been rejected by Polish centre back Kamil Glick, pictured, who looked set to move to Ibrox after a transfer fee had been agreed with his club Palermo alongside personal terms. However Serie B side Torino made a late bid for the player with Glick opting to remain in Italy. (Express)

Bothroyd off to QPR

Celtic target Jay Bothroyd is on the verge of a move to Queens Park Rangers with the striker, who is available on a free transfer, expected to sign a two-year deal. (Record)

Ally McCoist may be thwarted in his bid to bring striker Kenny Miller back to Ibrox for a third time due to interest from a number of English clubs capable of paying the Scotland international a greater salary. (Scotsman)

Birmingham to increase bid for Calderwood

Birmingham City are set to increase their offer of compensation to Hibs to 400,000 for manager Colin Calderwood who is wanted by current Blues boss Chris Houghton as his assistant.

A 300,000 bid by the midlands club has already been rejected. (Scotsman)

Celtic interested in Scotland keeper

Neil Lennon says he remains keen on bringing Sunderland and Scotland international keeper Craig Gordon, who has year left on his current deal, to Parkhead.

Gordon is out injured until October but the Parkhead boss said he is still intent on making an enquiry. (Scotsman)
