Terry Butcher is happy with recruitment at Inverness

Inverness are close to agreeing deals with up to seven new players.

Manager Terry Butcher has already brought in defender Gary Warren from Newport and expects others to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Butcher told the club’s official website: “I’m more than happy with the progress that has been made on bringing in new players and we’ve certainly benefited from doing the spadework very early. Names cannot be revealed just now as their contracts at other clubs have not yet expired.

“But they have committed their futures to us and that is very satisfying. Some can be named within the next week to 10 days but the fact that they are checking out homes and schools in Inverness speaks for itself.

“I expect them all to be at Fort George when pre-season training begins and I’m confident our supporters will be pleased with who we’ve been able to bring in on our restricted budget.”

Butcher has lost Gregory Tade, Greg Tansey, Jonny Tuffey and Thomas Piermayr so far, with the likes of Jonny Hayes still to decide on their futures.
