Green Brigade unveil anti-Boyata banner at Celtic Park

Dedryck Boyata is not fit to wear the famous green and white hoops, according to the Green Brigade.

The Celtic fan group unveiled a banner during their side’s match with Hamilton Accies in the Ladbrokes Premiership.

It read: “Boyata - not fit to wear the jersey.”

This comes in response to the Belgian international appearing to down tools after a move to the English Premier League failed to materialise.

As a result, he was missing from Celtic’s trip to AEK Athens earlier this month, where a 2-1 defeat knocked Brendan Rodgers’ men from the Champions League.

Despite this, and Boyata’s agent promising his client would never again play for the club, the defender was inserted into the starting XI for the visit of Accies.

Celtic have struggled in his absence, failing to keep a clean sheet in any of their previous six games.
