Team news: Trio in line for Celtic debuts, Rangers without key man, Hearts defender sidelined, Hibs duo doubtful

We guide you through the team news and the probable line-ups for each match:

Celtic (1) v Dundee (6)

Celtic have midfielder Reo Hatate back following a calf complaint while Nat Phillips could make his debut. Liel Abada (thigh) has joined Cameron Carter-Vickers, Maik Nawrocki (both hamstring), and Stephen Welsh (ankle) on the sidelines. Yuki Kobayashi, Mikey Johnston and Marco Tilio are back in training but may have to wait to feature. Dundee have a clean bill of health with Antonio Portales and Aaron Donnelly back from injury.

Hearts (8) v Aberdeen (11)

Hearts have lost defender Alex Cochrane (ankle) for at least six weeks. Barrie McKay (knee) and Odel Offiah (illness) remain out along with long-term absentees Craig Halkett (knee) and Craig Gordon (broken leg) but Stephen Kingsley, Beni Baningime and Calem Nieuwenhof are fit again. Aberdeen will be without Shayden Morris for 10 weeks with a hamstring injury while Rhys Williams has suffered another injury setback after rolling his ankle. Danish defender Stefan Gartenmann could be in the squad for the first time after joining on loan from FC Midtjylland.

Kilmarnock (9) v Hibs (10)

Kilmarnock midfielder Liam Donnelly is struggling with a calf problem while defender Corrie Ndaba remains out with an ankle injury. Nick Montgomery takes of charge of Hibs for the first time amid doubts over the fitness of Jordan Obita (hamstring) and Jake Doyle-Hayes (ankle). Dylan Levitt (ankle), Jojo Wollacott (thigh), Harry McKirdy (heart) and Chris Cadden (Achilles) remain out.

Motherwell (2) v St Mirren (3)

Well defender Paul McGinn is suspended and manager Stuart Kettlewell has doubts over Liam Kelly (back), Blair Spittal and Shane Blaney (both knocks). Strikers Mika Biereth (knee), Jon Obika (hamstring) and Conor Wilkinson (calf) remain out alongside defenders Pape Souare (calf) and Calum Butcher (foot). Former Motherwell pair Mark O’Hara and Mikael Mandron are back in training for St Mirren following injury, leaving long-term absentee Jonah Ayunga (knee) as the visitors’ only absentee.

Ross County (5) v Livingston (7)

Ross County have Scott Allardice and Max Sheaf closing in on fitness but they will not return this week. Scott High is a doubt while midfielders Ross Callachan and Ben Paton remain out with long-term knee injuries. Livingston have Sean Kelly available again, with full-back Cristian Montano (calf) the only absentee for the Lions.

St Johnstone (12) v Rangers (4)

St Johnstone striker Nicky Clark is back in training after an ankle injury and will be assessed ahead of the visit of his former club. DJ Jaiyesimi (hamstring) is a doubt while Drey Wright (calf) is unlikely to return and Sven Sprangler is awaiting work permit clearance. Ali Crawford (calf), Ross Sinclair (broken arm) and Callum Booth (back) remain out. Rangers midfielders Todd Cantwell and Kieran Dowell will miss the trip with knee injuries.
