Striker still has a shot at World Cup

SALVADOR Cabanas could still make Paraguay's World Cup squad, insists one of the doctors treating the forward.

Cabanas was shot in the head in Mexico City just over a week ago following an incident in a bar. The Club America striker is beginning to regain movement in his arms and limbs and neurosurgeon Celso Fretes believes he could play in the World Cup. "His progress is extremely positive," Fretes

said. "I believe the right conclusion is Salvador should not be out of the squad. He will, things being as they are, have the possibility of recovering in time."
