Stirling University defeat Civil Service Strollers

Stirling University moved into second place in the Central Taxis Premier Division with a 6-2 victory over Civil Service Strollers and they now trail leaders Spartans by five points with three games in hand.

Charlie Brigain gave the Strollers the lead before three quick goals, including two headers, from centre-half Jack Nixon and a strike from Craig Mason put the students ahead. Although Brigain pulled another goal back before half-time, Jacob Arnold-Smith (two) and James Dale sealed the win with second half goals.

In the First Division, Kelso United beat Burntisland Shipyard 3-1. In the Preliminary Round of the League Cup Craigroyston progressed 2-1 against Coldstream, although the Streamers missed two penalties at crucial times.
