Stirling Uni leave it late to keep up perfect start

Stirling University maintained their 100 per cent winning start to the season with their third consecutive victory although they had to rely on two late goals to beat Easthouses Lily 3-2.

Graham Young had fired Easthouses into a 2-0 lead before Chris Geddes pulled a goal back then Liam Corr and Jack Nixon netted in the closing minutes. Whitehill Welfare had striker Scott Gormley sent off in the opening five minutes and never recovered before losing 2-1 to Berwick Rangers Reserves.

Craigroyston dominated proceedings in their 3-0 win against Preston Athletic with goals from Craig Dickson, Paul Lynch (penalty) and Errol Douglas. Leith Athletic defeated Kelso United 2-1, while Selkirk were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Eyemouth United.

Lothian Thistle beat Hawick Royal Albert 3-1, Duns overcame Burntisland Shipyard 4-2, Edinburgh City were 3-0 victors over Gala Fairydean and Heriot Watt University defeated Vale of Leithen 3-0.
