Scobbie has battled back to fitness and featured twice in recent Under-20 games and Wright is glad to have him available again.

“Tom got 90 minutes on Tuesday night and got 60 minutes the previous week,” said the Northern Irishman, who revealed midfielder Murray Davidson will be out for between three and six weeks with a fractured ankle sustained in the warm-up before last week’s game against Rangers.

“Tom got injured against Hearts and had his operation and got back in good time, the time we expected him to be back in.

“We brought Richard Foster in and the back four has had to play almost every minute.

“You Liam Gordon has come in and down well and Aaron Comrie has done well.

“With Keith Watson being out since August as well, the squad has coped well and the young players have done well when they come in.

“But it is always good to get senior players back and I am pleased that Tom is back.

“Murray has seen a specialist and there is no need for an operation.

“He could be looking at anything from three to six weeks, it depends on how quick he heals.

“The good thing about Murray is that he seems to recover quickly and is a good healer so hopefully that is the case and it will be a shorter period.”
