SPL Fazone: Inverness CT

THE Scottish Cup always provides a welcome break from league duties but it would appear that it doesn’t attract the fans anymore – unless you are drawn against the big guns.

Even reduced prices failed to attract a big gate against SPL opposition. Once upon a time the Scottish Cup could fill the ground. But we are not minnows anymore and our giant-killing days are behind us so maybe, for some, the Cup has become boring. That may now be on the minds of those who made the effort to go to the Pars tie as that has to be the least entertaining game of football at home in a long time. The Tuesday night replay won’t exactly have the fans queuing up at the turnstiles either.

On a more positive note, our current unbeaten run was extended and an equaliser in the final minute does suggest our luck might be changing.
