SPL Fanzone: St Mirren

Losing a last-minute goal to a team you are battling with to make the top six isn’t exactly the best way to start the New Year.

We should have been a couple of goals up against Kilmarnock inside the opening half hour and, not for the first time this season, were made to pay for not taking our chances. To then end up with nothing from the game was a huge blow.

With two rounds of fixtures now played, we look in pretty good shape and, at the very least, we should avoid our traditional end-of-season battle against the drop.

However, ever since promotion, it is the run from the turn of the year to the split that has caused us problems.

We must get another few wins under our belts quickly if we’re to continue our push for a place in the top six.
