SPL Fanzone: St Johnstone

TALK about a seamless transition! Steve Lomas has come in and kept us right at the top of our game after all Derek McInnes’ good work.

He ruffled a few feathers with his in-yer-face style in the 0-0 draw at Ibrox, and it was great to finally get the chance to welcome our new manager to Perth on Saturday after the fog had denied him a home debut when we were due to play Aberdeen. Steve took his bow, then enjoyed the show as we took Hibs apart – albeit, it wasn’t looking that way when Richie Towell gave Hibs the lead.

After the controversial defeat at Easter Road, perhaps the players had that little bit of extra fire in their bellies to right a wrong and the way they responded was superb. Fran Sandaza showed great awareness to nip in for the first, Marcus Haber leapt like a salmon for the second, then Dave McKay’s free-kick was textbook stuff. Keep up the good work Lomas.
