SPL Fanzone: St Johnstone

SATURDAY’S 3-0 win over St Mirren in Paisley was exactly what we needed. A clean sheet, three goals and a vital three points in our quest for Europe.

As an added bonus, it was great to see Fran Sandaza back on the goal trail to seal the victory. The top six is now virtually assured – only a freak set of circumstances would see us miss out now.

This weekend’s game against Hearts will be a big one. Win it and we’re clear of sixth with a game in hand. That has to be an enormous incentive.

We’ve got a reasonably strong squad to pick from on Saturday, with only Callum Davidson an injury doubt and Cillian Sheridan back from suspension.

Now is the time to put a run together – I’d rather be ahead at the split than needing to play catch up after it.
