SPL Fanzone: Motherwell

IT IS one of the quirks of being a football fan that, no matter how much you have, you always want more.

On the face of it Motherwell fans should be delighted but, after a moderate result on Saturday, it is hard not to think we dropped two points rather than gained one. We hardly outplayed Killie but we missed more, and better, chances than them when a win would have kept the pressure on the Old Firm. Celtic are a shambles, Rangers could be heading for an administration points penalty. What if. . .

With the defence at breaking point due to injury, one more blow could end our good run. That makes it all the more important we enjoy our high-flying position while it lasts and it is equally vital we don’t let realism slide into pessimism. At a minimum, the title of best of the rest is up for grabs!
