SPL Fanzone: Kilmarnock

With no first-team action at the weekend quite a few Kilmarnock supporters travelled through to Celtic’s Lennoxtown training facility to see the under-19 team take on the current champions in the youth cup.

Unfortunately, the home team were too strong and we lost out 5-0, but it was no disgrace given the amount of money spent on the Celtic team and the results they’ve been getting against other top European youth teams this year.

Matthew Kennedy was a stand out for us again and it will be no surprise to see Kenny Shiels put the wee man on the first-team bench this season again.

The League Cup semi-final against the Yahoos is not until the end of January but excitement is building and the fans on killiefc.com have organised a collection to purchase a huge new flag for the Hampden trip.
