SPL Fanzone: Kilmarnock

THE transfer window has been pretty enjoyable so far. Dean Shiels bought out his own contract at Doncaster so he could sign with us to the end of the season, and you won’t get to read lines like that too often these days.

There was further good news in the signing of solid centre half Michael Nelson, the 31-year-old who helped both Hartlepool and Norwich win promotion, and left back Ben Gordon has joined us from Chelsea on loan once again following a previous excellent spell at the Theatre of Pies. With the manager in talks with Derek Riordan and a couple of other players, it certainly looks like we are making strides in the right direction.

By the time you read this our Scottish Cup replay against Dundee will be done and dusted. But, whatever happened, let’s be honest – there’s only one cup tie that we’re all really bothered about just now and as long as we win that one then anything else is a bonus.
