SPL Fanzone: kilmarnock

In RESULTS terms it wasn’t exactly a prolific pre-season for us with only one win to speak of and the goal drought carried on into our first home game against Dundee. It was good to see such a large away crowd at the Theatre of Pies, especially from a fan-owned club and I wish them all the best for the season, apart from when they play us again of course. Week two saw a second consecutive draw, but a more welcome scoring one away to Inverness. The game was eventful enough with a goal and forward roll from the skip, a heat-butt and sending-off and an ice cream van in the stadium…summer football is great. We take on Motherwell at home this week and we could do ourselves a real favour by getting all three points from a decent Lanarkshire side. All Killie Trust members are invited to a special meeting after the game in the Park Hotel to discuss plans for future community ownership of the club.
