SPL Fanzone: Inverness Caledonian Thistle

After earning a draw against Hibernian last week, we were looking forward to, hopefully, extending our unbeaten run to three games.

But this was yet another New Year fixture of ours that succumbed to the weather. Or did it? It would appear that having spent thousands of pounds trying to eradicate a drainage problem this cash has disappeared down the drain quicker than the water. There was no high tide to blame this time either. Heavy overnight rain made the pitch completely sodden and the referee couldn’t bounce the ball anywhere and passed some remark about the apparent lack of any drainage. But why call an inspection at 11.15 for a 2pm kick-off when fans are already en route? Couldn’t they have given the pitch more time to see if it would drain? Or is our pitch drainage so bad that there would be no point? This is getting quite embarrassing!
