SPL Fanzone: Dunfermline

THE Dunfermline board cannot afford the sort of debt which would make a Greek politician choke but there will be new faces this month.

Every penny is a hostage at East End, although phone charges are exempt as Jim McIntyre rings managers and agents. It isn’t easy when fringe players in England’s lower leagues get huge wages. Also, in a month which will have a huge influence on the season, Rutkiewicz and McDougall are set to return with McCann and Phinn not far behind. The determination and effort shown at Inverness will stand us in good stead, with McIntyre gentleman enough not to focus on a third successive game in which these qualities where undermined by inept goalkeeping. The loss of Paul Gallagher is a crushing blow but transfers are imminent, boosted by the windfall of Sky covering the Cup replay.
