IT’S a shame that we can’t, in the words of the song, play United every week.

That’s three wins out of three and a quarter of our league goals that have been scored against our new firm rivals. In the race to be top of the bottom, the result on Saturday helped but it is the momentum that is the most important thing to take out of the game.

We needed that result to halt the losing streak and provide a positive start to the semi-final preparations. Craig Brown’s post-match comments that he has a selection headache may draw smiles from the fans, but it’s reassuring to see players returning from injury and/or finding the form that has been lacking recently. It’s now down to Craig Brown and the team not to let the fans down and to deliver where others have previously failed.
