SPL Fanzone: Aberdeen

Emotions as fans trudged away from Hampden included disappointment, anger at the officials for missing the offside in the winning goal and frustration at the lack of performance.

Arguments continue as to whether this was the result of “stage fright” by the players or a tactical blunder by the coaches. Hibs are fragile at the back but we didn’t apply any pressure and only had a go for a short spell in the second-half, which produced a goal, before inexplicably becoming cautious again. Tellingly, the one missing feeling was surprise. We’ve been here too many times for the outcome to come as a shock to those in the stands. The club need to be aware of this and must now try to prevent this apathy becoming more widespread among the support.
