The Scottish Government were quick to commend the decisive action from the Ibrox club yesterday, who suspended the players in light of ‘an incident’ early on Monday morning involving a party at a flat in Glasgow.
A video and image has emerged since and angry Rangers are awaiting contact from the SFA over their players’ actions.
The incident came 12 hours after Steven Gerrard’s side moved nine points clear at the top of the SPFL Premiership, taking full advantage of Celtic’s role in the William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final with Aberdeen.
Tom Rogic was a key player at Hampden once again for the Hoops and the win for Neil Lennon’s side fell into line with a Craig Gordon prediction – helped by an unusual source.
The goalkeeper is also in line to be recalled to Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad which is named later today.
