SPFL manager sacked for 'gross misconduct' after club investigation
38 y/o dismissed after three-and-a-half years in post
Elgin City have sacked manager Allan Hale "with immediate effect after a finding of gross misconduct".
The League Two club suspended Hale from his duties on May 7 and opened an investigation which has resulted in the 38-year-old being dismissed after three-and-a-half years in the post.
Hale steered Elgin to a sixth place finish this past season, finishing six points adrift of the promotion play-off places after failing to win any of the last five games.

The club had promoted assistant Stefan Laird to acting manager and will now begin the search for a permanent successor.
An Elgin statement read: "Following the conclusion of an internal investigation conducted in accordance with the club's policies and procedures, we can confirm that the men's first-team manager has been dismissed with immediate effect after a finding of gross misconduct.
"The club will make no further comment on this matter.
"We can now fully focus on the positive process of appointing a new manager and the continuation of our player recruitment plans."
Hale was a player with Maud, Fraserburgh and Fraserburgh Utd and has previously managed Highland League clubs Huntly and Keith.
