Sergio Aguero is best in world says Celtic's Leigh Griffiths
“For me, him and Luis Suarez are the best two strikers in the world,” said Griffiths, Suarez already having wreaked havoc with a double for Barcelona in the opening day 7-0 slaying of Brendan Rodgers’ side. “I don’t class Messi and Ronaldo as out-and-out strikers so Suarez and Aguero are the top two – it’s just unfortunate for us they are both in our group. But it gives you a chance to see what they can do first-hand. You can only learn from them and aspire to be as good as them.
“Aguero has everything as a player: he can head, he can run, he’s got a great first touch, he’s strong and he’s got an eye for goal. Every week in the Premier League he’s scoring goals, and all different types. But it’s not just in England, he’s done it regularly in the Champions League as well. Aguero is brave too, like all good strikers. He isn’t scared of going in where it hurts. He’s a fox in the box and loves scoring goals.
