Second Division: Cowdenbeath go top after victory against Albion

’Beath leapfrogged Arbroath at the top of the division with this home win. Jordan Morton scored from the penalty spot after 33 minutes. It was 2-0 just after half-time when Mark McKenzie struck to send his team top on goal difference.

Stenhousemuir 3, Dumbarton 1

Stenhousemuir’s Stewart Kean and Andy Rodgers both headed wide before Rodgers netted after 29 minutes. Ross McMillan headed the second on the stroke of half-time and made it 3-0 in 77 minutes. Scott Agnew grabbed a late consolation.

Forfar Athletic 1, Arbroath 1

Lee Sibanda scored after 12 minutes to give Arbroath the lead. Ten minutes from the break Forfar’s Michael Bolochoweckyj picked up his second booking and a red card. But Joe Shaughnessy provided the equaliser with just eight minutes left.

Brechin City 1, Airdrie United 1

Ryan Donnelly put Airdrie ahead after 14 minutes with a right-foot shot but Airdrie were down to ten men after 26 minutes when Kieron Stallard was sent off for violent conduct. Charlie King equalised from the spot shortly after the break.

Albion Rovers 0, East Fife 3

East Fife grabbed their first away league win against the bottom club. Bobby Linn set up Craig Johnstone to put East Fife ahead seven minutes from the break. Johnstone scored his second early in the second half and Linn added a third late on.
