Scottish transfer deadline day: Rangers clinch double deal as Hearts, Hibs and others do business
A round-up of all the transfer deadline day deals across the Scottish Premiership
Rangers clinched deadline day deals for striker Kevin Kelsy and winger Badredine Bouanani as the curtain came down on the Scottish Premiership transfer window on Thursday evening.
The Ibrox club paid £9.5million to land 22-year-old Kelsy from Major League Soccer club Portland Timbers. The Venezuelen internationalist has joined on a four-year deal with the option of another year.
"What really stood out in our conversations is how hungry he is to make an impact," Rangers manager Derek McInnes told the club website. "He’ll bring real quality to an area of the pitch we have been keen to strengthen."

Bouanani has signed on a season-long loan from Stuttgart. The Algerian internationalist joined the German Bundesliga side last summer in a £13m move from Nice but has fallen down the pecking order.
"He is an exciting young player who will add real quality, creativity and a different dimension to our attacking options," McInnes said of the 21-year-old. “He is very good with the ball, a real threat in one v one situations and he has already gained experience in two of Europe’s top leagues."
Nicolas Raskin remains a Rangers player after the club rejected further advances from Besiktas. A loan bid was turfed out on Wednesday, while the Turkish giants returned with a permanent offer on Thursday, which was also rebuffed.
There was business conducted by both Hearts and Hibs ahead of last night's Edinburgh derby.
Hearts signed 18-yaer-old midfielder Leart Kabashi from Grasshoppers on a four-year contract. The Switzerland Under-19 international has six first-team appearances to his name.
Heading away from Tynecastle was English centre-back MJ Kamson-Kamara, who joined Kilmarnock on loan until January. The 20-year-old arrived in Edinburgh from Glentoran this summer but has barely featured.
Hibs signed 21-year-old West Brom wing-back Alex Williams on a season-long loan. Head coach David Gray described the right-sided Wales Under-21 international as a “hard-working, forward-thinking” wing-back who will “bring great energy”.
Hibs have also been linked with 34-year-old former Liverpool and Southampton forward Danny Ings, who left Sheffield United at the end of last season and is a free agent.

St Johnstone brought in Hibs midfielder Josh Campbell on loan and also signed 21-year-old midfielder Joel Cotterill on a one-year contract from Swansea.
Falkirk made 19-year-old Derby midfielder Owen Eames their 17th and final summer signing ahead of the deadline.
Dundee United claimed one of the more eye-catching deadline day moves by signing Iraq midfielder Zidane Iqbal from Utrecht on a two-year contract with the option of a further season. The English-born 23-year-old started his career with Manchester United and played every match at the World Cup for his country this summer.
Aberdeen were expected to make a late addition but it emerged they were pursuing a deal for former Augsburg goalkeeper Daniel Klein, who is a free agent.
St Mirren announced the departure of 23-year-old Jamaican winger Jalmaro Calvin following 11 appearances for the Buddies.
Motherwell loaned 19-year-old midfielder Olly Whyte to Ayr for the season following his first-team breakthrough in recent weeks. Whyte played under Ayr boss Gary Naysmith on loan with Stenhousemuir last season.
Celtic did their late business ahead of Wednesday night’s UEFA registration deadline, signing six players.
Dundee completed their summer business when they signed 20-year-old attacking midfielder Jack Moorhouse on loan from Manchester United on Wednesday evening.
