This Scottish Premiership season has been the most enthralling in a generation, with the top and bottom of the table continuing to offer up twists and turns aplenty.
Hearts have been the story of the season, with a first title win in 65 years now in touching distance, with both Celtic and Rangers lying in their wake. Motherwell have also been revitalised under Jens Berthel Askou, and picked up some huge results on the way to a long-overdue top four finish.
Last week’s PFA Scotland awards saw Hearts’ Claudio Braga named as the player of the year, with Rangers’ Mikey Moore scooping the young player of the year award. But who have been the Scottish Premiership’s most creative talents in this breathtaking campaign?
Assessing each player on their total chance creation throughout the season, alongside average chances created per game and big chances created (measured by the number of times a player sets up a teammate with a high-probability scoring opportunity—eg, a one-on-one scenario), from 10-1, the Scotsman look at which players have been the league’s most creative players:

1. Declan John - St Mirren
The Welsh full-back has created a total of 46 chances for his team this season, recording a tally of 1.7 per game. However, perhaps even more interestingly, he has created the second most big chances in the league, with 17. | SNS Group

2. Greg Kiltie - Kilmarnock
The Killie winger has been a creative spark for Neil McCann's team this season, creating an average of 2.1 chances per game and a total of 48. Of the chances he has fashioned, 12 of them are classified as big chances. | SNS Group

3. Cameron Congreve - Dundee
Signed on loan from Swansea City in the summer, Congreve has been a huge positive for the Dark Blues this term. He's created 50 chances for his team this season, averaging 1.8 per game. A total of 10 of those are quantified as big chances created. | SNS Group

4. Jamie McGrath - Hibs
One of Hibs' stand-out performers this term, the Republic of Ireland international has scored eight goals and assisted a further four in his debut campaign at Easter Road. He averages 1.9 chances created per game, with 50 of them created in total across the season, though only six are recorded as big chances. | SNS Group
