Rangers deal in limbo, Celtic linked with 29y/o midfielder, 'embarrassing' bids - Scottish transfer news
The latest transfer news and gossip across Scottish football
This time next week, the transfer window will be closed for Scottish clubs after another summer of business.
It means the next few days are going to be frantic as Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Hibs and more strive to do business.
We take a look at some of the stories doing the rounds this Friday morning:

Raskin in Rangers limbo
The future of Nicolas Raskin at Rangers continues to be up in the air after manager Derek McInnes confirmed that there have been no concrete bids for the Belgian midfielder.
Raskin was absent on Thursday night as the Ibrox side crashed out of Europe, losing on penalties to Czech side Jablonec in the Conference League. Afterwards, McInnes gave an update on Raskin.
“There have been no offers for Nico,” he said. “It’s just been quite a few conversations, so I don’t know where that was. Certainly not today, ahead of the game – I hadn’t heard anything.
“That may well change. But I did think we lacked a bit of experience in the middle of the pitch at times. I think any team would miss somebody like Nico, but I need to say that’s not the reason why we’ve lost tonight.”

Kim’s Rangers promise
Kim Min-su insists he arrives at Rangers with the “mentality of a winner” after becoming Derek McInnes’ 12th summer signing. The 20-year-old South Korean winger joins from Girona on a four-year deal with the option for a further year, for a fee widely reported to be around £8.5million.
The attacker, who spent the 2025-26 campaign on loan at FC Andorra, making 40 appearances across all competitions and scoring six goals, could make his debut in the Premiership clash with Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Sunday.
Kim told Rangers’ official website: “I’m so happy to sign for Rangers. I know it’s a big club with great, great fans. I want to help the team to be better every day, to be a good person, and to do everything I can to help the team win everything that comes our way.
“I have a lot of excitement and I believe I have the mentality of a winner. I want to face whatever comes next head on and I’m going to give the club what it deserves.”

Bissouma linked to Celtic
Former Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma has emerged as a potential transfer target for Celtic, according to reports.
The 29-year-old Mali internationalist is a free agent after leaving Spurs this summer and is claimed to have a number of clubs monitoring his situation - including Celtic.
Manager Martin O’Neill is keen to add strength to his midfield after selling Arne Engels to West Ham earlier this month, with Reo Hatate also tipped to leave before the window closes.
Bissouma, who also played for Brighton, is said to be on the shortlists of Ajax and Istanbul Basaksehir as well.

Spencer bids ‘embarrassing’
John McGlynn claims Dundee United should be “embarrassed” by the level of offers made for Falkirk midfielder Brad Spencer. The Bairns boss revealed three bids for the 30-year-old from the Tannadice club have been rejected by the Falkirk board and he is right behind the decision.
McGlynn said: “We have continuously told them for some time now that Brad’s not for sale, he’s part of Falkirk Football Club. I signed Brad for Raith Rovers when he was in part-time football at Forfar a good few years ago, we have worked together more or less ever since, barring one year. We’ve rejected these offers.
“I’m a players’ man, but obviously I work for the football club and the board will make these decisions. And you wouldn’t want your best player going to one of your direct opponents while they’re under contract and Brad’s got at least another couple of years on his contract, so they are kidding themselves on basically.
“I don’t think it would matter (if Dundee United came back), they are miles off, embarrassing. I know the guy who wrote them and he must have been embarrassed when he was writing these offers, he must have been embarrassed. From a football point of view we’re saying that Brad will be here, he’s under contract, unless the board accept it and they are not going to accept their offer.”
