All your latest Scottish transfer news from around the Premiership - including reports from Celtic, Rangers, Hibs and beyond.
The World Cup’s climax is approaching, meaning all eyes are now turning back to domestic action, with the Scottish Premiership set to return in little under three weeks.
At the top of the agenda is the summer transfer market, and in your Wednesday morning transfer bulleting we’ve got the latest news from Celtic, Rangers, Hibs and beyond as we keep you up to date with all the latest completed deals, reports and rumours from across the country.

Hibs add another
Hibs have confirmed the signing of talented young wing-back Adam Mayor from EFL Championship side Millwall for an undisclosed fee. The 21-year-old has become head coach David Gray’s fifth signing of the summer, and joins Azeem Abdulai, Callum Wright, Nathan Lowe and Jason Kerr in making the move to Easter Road during the transfer window.
The young defender was a regular starter for a Cambridge United side who won automatic promotion from EFL League Two last season, scoring three goals and assisting three more after joining the U’s on a season-long loan last summer. He’s also spent time on loan at Bromley.
"We're delighted to bring another exciting young player into the building and welcome Adam to Hibernian," said Gray. “He is a promising young player to add to the group, and he has already made successful strides in his career so far. There's no doubt Adam will bring real athleticism to the squad. He's a wing-back who really loves attacking and putting crosses into the box and can contribute at both ends of the pitch. We're all looking forward to him joining the group and working with him going forward."

St Mirren bag ex-Motherwell man
St Mirren have confirmed the signing of talented young attacker Eseosa Sule on a three-year deal from West Bromwich Albion. The 20-year-old forward began his career in the Celtic youth academy, and also spent six months on loan to Motherwell during the 2024/25 season, though it was cruelly cut short by injury.
Upon the confirmation of Sule’s signing, head coach Craig McLeish said: “We had been speaking West Brom about a loan initially, but when the chance came to do a permanent deal, we were really excited about it because the more permanent deals that we can do and develop our squad for the future, the better. Eseosa came up on loan to Motherwell last year and was unfortunate that he picked up an injury and had to head back down the road without really featuring much. But he's one that we're excited about because it gives us the bit that we're looking for where he can stretch defences. He gives us a real threat and speed in behind.
A regular goalscorer for the Baggies’ Under-21 side, he bagged seven goals in nine appearances last season, but was unable to break into the first-team as the battled against relegation. Signed for an undisclosed fee, the Scottish striker said: This was always on my mind to come to a team and be number nine at a club. That's amazing to me, so it was a no-brainer. “I feel like this is the perfect place for my career. I see myself bringing athleticism, pace, goals and energy. Also, I'm a winner, so I want to win games. Even though I had just a small taste of it before, I feel like it's a league where I can really do well."

Rangers eye swap deal
Rangers are keeping tabs on Leicester City winger Stephy Mavididi following their relegation to the third tier of English football - and centre-back John Souttar could be heading in the opposite direction. According to a report from Mark Hendry, head coach Derek McInnes has held talks with Foxes chiefs over a deal for the 28-year-old, who is valued at around £7million.
Mavididi has been at the King Power Stadium for the last season, having joined from Montpellier in the summer of 2023, and has had a major impact in his debut season at the club, scoring 14 goals and assisting six more as the club won promotion to the English Premier League. However, following back-to-back relegations, the Englishman is now understood to be available for transfer.
Meanwhile, Souttar could be about to bring down the curtain on his four-year stay at Ibrox in order to move the other way, with Leicester understood to be the frontrunners for his signature this summer. The 29-year-old is not part of the team’s squad for their pre-season camp in Spain, with McInnes ready to sanction his departure, and his former Rangers boss, Russell Martin, is keen to bring him to the Midlands, though they face stiff competition from EFL Championship sides.
Meanwhile, Brazilian outfit Botafogo are closing in on the signing of Rangers striker Danilo. Similar to Souttar, the 27-year-old was left out of the club’s training camp pending a move, and now looks set for a surprise return to his homeland despite interest from the Eredivisie.

Celtic exit confirmed
Celtic have confirmed that striker Shin Yamada will head out on loan again this season, with the Japanese forward signing a season-long deal with Belgian Pro League outfit OH Leuven. The 25-year-old moved to Parkhead last summer in a £1.5million deal from Kawasaki Frontale, but failed to score in his eight league appearances, and was allowed to join German second-tier side Preussen Munster on loan in January.
After a slow start, Yamada found the net three times in the final weeks of the campaign at the LVM-Preussenstadion, though he was unable to prevent the club from being relegated to Liga 3, and returned to the club earlier this summer. The one-cap international scored in Celtic’s first pre-season friendly, securing a 1-1 draw with Shelbourne last week, but has been deemed surplus to requirements and allowed to spend the season at Den Dreef. A short statement on Celtic’s official media channels said: “Good luck to Shin Yamada, who has joined OH Leuven on a season-long loan. Wishing you all the best in Belgium, Shin”.
