Scottish Division Two Roundup

A roundup of the action from yesterday’s second division matches

Cowdenbeath 1- 0 Brechin City

COWDENBEATH needed a last-gasp goal from Derek Lyle to stay two points clear of Arbroath at the top of the league. The Blue Brazil were first denied by Brechin keeper Craig Nelson, who kept out Greg Stewart, and then the post, which denied John Robertson before Lyle settled it.

Stenhousemuir 1 - 3 Arbroath

ARBROATH took an early lead when Brian Kerr set up Steven Doris before Josh Falkingham made it 2-0 eight minutes from half-time.

Dumbarton 4 - 1 Stirling Albion

DUMBARTON stormed back to win after Scott Davidson had put the visitors ahead in three minutes.

Ally Graham equalised just after the break and, after Davidson was sent off for Stirling, Scott Agnew put Dumbarton in front and Mark Gilhaney added two more.

East Fife 2 - 0 Airdrie United

AIRDRIE United’s goalkeeper Grant Adam was sent off for handling the ball outside the area eight minutes before half time. Robert Sloan took advantage as he scored a penalty minutes later. Airdrie went down to nine men when Sean Lynch walked, and Craig Johnstone struck a second.

Albion Rovers 2 - 2 Forfar Athletic

DALE Hilson shot Forfar ahead after only two minutes but John Gemmell headed an equaliser just three minutes later.

Chris Templeman put Forfar back in front midway through the first half but Albion hit back in the second half through Robert Love.
