Scottish Cup round-up

AN INCREDIBLE match at Irvine saw West Superleague champions Meadow come from 3-2 down at half-time to run out 6-3 winners against Forres, setting up a second-round trip to Meadowbank Stadium, where they will face Edinburgh City.

An early Chris Roberston penalty for Meadow was cancelled out by a Simon Allan double and a Lee Fraser strike, before Garry Fleming pulled one back.

The second half was a different story, though, with a second from Robertson plus strikes from Richie Barr, Martin McLennan and Michael Hughes easing Meadow through.

Three first-half goals – two from Scott Gibb and one from Nicky Walker – helped Bo’ness United ease past Fort William at Claggan Park. Stephen Tarditi rounded off the scoring after the break to make it 4-0.
