Scottish Cup: Bo’ness meet Garry O’Connor’s Selkirk

EAST Super League champions Bo’ness United are set to face Garry O’Connor’s Selkirk in the first round of the William Hill Scottish Cup.

Former Hibs and Scotland star O’Connor, 31, joined Selkirk in order to improve his fitness levels and has impressed in his first matches for the Lowland League outfit, scoring five goals in four games.

Elsewhere in the draw, a trip to the Highlands to face Clachnacuddin awaits Edinburgh University should they overcome Hurlford United in this weekend’s replay having drawn 2-2 in Ayrshire last Saturday.

Linlithgow Rose also face a long journey north to take on Highland League side Fraserburgh at Bellslea Park.

Edinburgh City will host Coldstream having cruised through the preliminary round, beating Fort William 5-0.

Preston Athletic will play Threave Rovers, while Civil Service Strollers head to Forres Mechanics after they booked their place in the first round by beating South of Scotland side Wigtown and Bladnoch 2-1.

Kevin Twaddle’s Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale will take on Lowland League outfit East Kilbride having brushed aside Burntisland Shipyard 3-0 in their preliminary round match.
