Ian Murray quits as St Mirren boss
Ian Murray has resigned as St Mirren manager.
The former Hibernian captain quit in the aftermath of the 1-0 defeat at Dumbarton.
Assistant Alex Miller has been placed in charge on a caretaker basis.

Hide AdThe result leaves Saints third from bottom of the Championship with just two wins from 16 matches this season.
Murray took over in the summer following St Mirren’s relegation from the Premiership.
Instead of challenging for promotion the Paisley club have found themselves at the wrong end of the table.
They have not won since mid-October and Murray’s assistant Mark Spalding left the club last month.

Hide AdHe was replaced by Miller, the vastly experienced coach who cut his managerial teeth with St Mirren before enjoying success at Hibernian and then was part of the Liverpool coaching staff when they won the Champions League in 2005.
