Scots referees picked for Europa League duty

SCOTTISH referees Bobby Madden and Steven McLean will take charge of two Europa League matches this week.

McLean will handle Club Brugge’s home tie against Midtjylland while Madden will be the man in the middle for SC Braga’s clash with FC Groningen.

The pair have already taken charge of games in Europe this season, with Madden having refereed Midtjylland v APOEL and Steaua Bucharest’s victory over Rosenborg while McLean took charge of Trabzonspor’s 1-1 draw with Rabotnički.

Madden will be assisted by Alastair Mather and Douglas Ross, with Stuart Stevenson as fourth official. John Beaton and Andrew Dallas have been selected as additional assistant referees.

At the Jan Breydel Stadium, McLean will be assisted by Frank Connor and Graeme Stewart, while the additional assistant referees will be Kevin Clancy and Don Robertson. Stuart MacMillan has been selected as fourth official.
