Blackburn manager Steve Kean has already made several attempts to land Rhodes before the latest bid was finally accepted and he will now join the squad on a four-year contract.

Rhodes joined Huddersfield from Ipswich in July 2009 and has gone from strength to strength with the Terriers.

After eight goals in as many games for the Scotland Under-21 squad, he has now earned his first two caps for Scotland’s senior squad.

Rhodes claimed his first full international goal in Scotland’s 3-1 win against Australia at Easter Road last week.
