Scotland Under-15s hit Rangers for six in Dublin warm-up
Four goals by Clydebank’s Rosie McQuillan (St Peter the Apostle High School) helped seal the win over Rangers and it was an ideal warm-up before the annual Bob Docherty Tournament in Dublin next month.
Against Rangers, Chelsea McEachran opened the scoring in the 11th minute, which appeared to settle the team. The central midfield pairing of Eilidh Shore and captain for the day Jodie Strachan started to dominate the centre of the park. But it was still just 1-0 at half-time.

The Scots responded when McQuillan, who was a thorn in the Rangers defence all day, finished off a sweeping move with a powerful angled cross-shot which deceived the Rangers keeper and entered the net to double the lead.
Scotland moved further ahead when McEachran again tormented the beleaguered Rangers defence before setting up McQuillan to make it 3-0 with a crisp, low shot.
Georgia Crooks was orchestrating the increasingly confident midfield four with some great flowing moves.

Moments later, the now rampant Scotland attack set up Hannah Scott to burst through the Rangers defence, only to see her powerful shot parried by the overworked Rangers keeper.
Sadly for Rangers, however, McQuillan again who reacted the quickest to crash home the rebound from five yards. It was an impressive performance by this young Scot.
Moments later, Scotland almost added to their five goals when Eilidh Shore struck a powerful shot from distance which crashed off the bar.

It was a very encouraging win for the Scotland girls. A very solid performance by goalkeeper Aaliyah Jay Meach and an assured back four had laid the foundations for the Scottish midfield to grow in confidence and dominate the game.
