Salvador Cabanas improving after shock shooting

PARAGUAY striker Salvador Cabanas has left intensive care three weeks after being shot in the head.

Cabanas will remain at Angeles del Pedregal hospital in Mexico City, but has improved enough to be moved to a private room.

It is still not known if Cabanas will make a full recovery from the attack and doctors have opted not to remove the bullet from the 29-year-old's head, as they fear surgery would be too dangerous.
