Erik Sviatchenko believes Ronny Deila is ideal candidate to become head coach of Brondby

Deila, who will step down at the Scottish champions at the end of the season, has been linked with the Danish club this week.

Both Deila and former Celtic midfielder Morten Wieghorst are in the frame for the job according to a variety of media sources in Scandinavia.

Sviatchenko believes his current boss would be the perfect fit for the role, he said: “I could see Ronny being a success at Brondby.

“It’s a big club. Not compared to Celtic, but it is the biggest in Denmark, fan-wise as well.

“If that was reality, I think Brondby and Ronny would be a good match. I think there will be a lot of interest in him when he leaves Celtic.” (Scotsman)

Keane’s former Ireland team mate Kevin Kilbane believes the former Man United and Celtic star should go for the managerial job once Ronny Deila leaves in the summer.

Rangers and Celtic could be set to do battle once again this summer, this time in the transfer market, with both sides reported to be interested in Sunderland’s Danny Graham. Graham, who has spent the last few months on loan at Championship side Blackburn Rovers, scoring six league goals in 17 starts for the Ewood Park side.

The striker was prolific for Swansea in their debut campaign in the Premier League but has struggled make an impact at Sunderland and is being tipped to leave the Stadium of Light this summer. (The Sun)

Businessman Hugh Duncan hints he’s ready to step in to save Dundee United

Former businessman Hugh Duncan, who has already provided the club with a soft loan of £1.6 million, could be ready to step into help the club once again.

A source close to Duncan, told the Daily record: “Hugh is a blue blood Arab and the money owed to him is the only debt the club are carrying.

“When he provided his original loan he was even reluctant to be assigned security over Tannadice, which had been held by the banks for 20 years previously.

“Hugh has already intimated he is ready to provide further funding, on a soft loan basis, if it’s needed to see United through the next few, challenging months.” (Daily Record)

Stubbs hopes home advantage will help Hibs turn things around

Hibs are hoping that Easter Road’s superior surface will give them an advantage and allow them to overturn their 1 goal deficit to Raith. Manager Alan Stubbs was critical of the playing surface in Kirkcaldy and believes it had a great influence in the game. Stubbs said: “We created some decent opportunities on a difficult pitch, the ball was bobbling up when players were setting themselves to shoot.
