Tom Rogic to reject new deal at Celtic

Australian midfielder Tom Rogic is set to follow in the footsteps of team-mate James Forrest by rejecting a deal to remain at Celtic Park.

Rogic has been in fine form this season after missing all of the previous campaign through injury and a loan spell back in his native homeland.

Leeds United have been credited with an interest and it seems the player is tempted by the idea of moving to England when his contract expires at the end of the next season. (The Sun)

Celtic defender Izaguirre a target for Sevilla

Celtic defender Emilio Izaguirre is now being targeted by Sevilla, after interest from La Liga rivals Getafe.

Izaguirre, 29, joined Celtic from Motagua back in the summer of 2010 having starred for Honduras at the World Cup in South Africa, and he has continued to impress in Scotland.

The left back has now racked up nearly 250 appearances in almost six years at Celtic Park, becoming one of the club’s longest serving players in the current squad. (Sun)

Kilmarnock player racially abused

Police have released a description of the man who is alleged to have directed racially aggravated abuse towards Kilmarnock footballer Josh Magennis.

The incident took place at 4.40pm on Saturday during the club’s game against Hearts at Tynecastle Stadium in Edinburgh. Magennis is understood to have made the allegation following his side’s 1-0 defeat.

Former Hearts striker Christian Nade hammers Hibs fans

Former Hearts striker Christian Nade taunted Hibs fans yesterday after his goal for Dumbarton helped deliver a potentially fatal blow to their Championship title hopes.

Aberdeen will score a historic first for Scottish football today by launching the game’s only fan group for LGBT supporters.

Dundee United players pay for accomodation

Dundee United defender Paul Dixon has revealed the players contributed some of their ‘fine money’ to help pay for overnight accommodation in Inverness on Friday.

The United squad made the gesture ahead of their Scottish Premiership match with Ross County at the Global Energy Stadium on Saturday.

Hibs defender Paul Hanlon faces fitness race for cup final

Callum Paterson could miss several weeks of Hearts’ European push after injuring his shoulder against Kilmarnock on Saturday.

Hanlon was left hobbling in the first half after he clashed with former Hearts striker Christian Nade, scorer of Dumbarton’s second goal in their 3-2 win. However, it is understood the injury which is causing worry occurred in a separate incident. (Evening News)
