Aston Villa put £5m price tag on Sinclair

Celtic have been told that they will have to pay £5m to secure the services of Aston Villa winger Scott Sinclair.

Rodgers has already failed with offers of £1m, £1.25m and £2.2m to secure Sinclair’s services.

His latest £2.75m offering for the 27 year-old (which included add-ons) was also snubbed by Championship side Villa, who are under no pressure to sell former England U21 star Sinclair. (Express)

Celtic confirm release of ‘pink’ third strip

Celtic today launched a pink and black third kit which they say is inspired by the pink ticket stubs used when the club won the European Cup in 1967.

A statement from the club read: “(the strip) is sure to capture the imagination of supporters and add to the excitement of a first season under Brendan Rodgers.”
