Rangers make move for former Man City starlet Reece Wabara

Rangers are in discussions with former Manchester City development team captain Reece Wabara as Mark Warburton continues rebuilding the squad he has inherited at Ibrox.

The right-back, a member of England’s pool at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in 2011, recently left Doncaster Rovers after they failed to win promotion to the Sky Bet Championship.

Genk tell Jelle Vossen to ‘make his mind up’

GENK have offered the striker a new contract and have ordered him to make up his mind by the end of today.

The Belgian outfit are fighting to ward off interest from Parkhead and from England for their talented Belgium striker. Vossen, who spent last term on loan at Middlesbrough, has stated he is keen to return to the UK.

But Genk have prepared an improved and extended contract in an attempt to sway his decision.

Genk Technical Director De Conde admitted: “We’re really pulling out all the stops to hold Jelle in Genk.” (Daily Record)

Kris Boyd to make Kilmarnock return

Kris Boyd is set to return to Kilmarnock for a third stint after leaving Rangers this summer. The Striker is set to sign a two-year deal as he becomes Killie manager Gary Locke’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window.

The 31-year-old’s return to Ibrox didn’t pan out as well as he hoped as he only managed to return 10 goals in 43 games, a low haul by the striker’s high standards. (STV)

Killie are also said to be keen on Boyd’s former team mate Lee McCulloch and hope the pair can be team up again this season. (Various)
